FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
IS YOGA RIGHT FOR ME?
Yoga is for everyone. No matter your age or abilities, there is a yoga class for you out there! If you can breathe, you can do yoga.
I’M NOT FLEXIBLE/I HAVE BAD BALANCE/I'M OUT OF SHAPE – CAN I STILL DO YOGA?
Definitely! You don’t need to be able to touch your toes to take part in a yoga class. Neither do you need to be able to balance on your head. Yoga will help you improve both your flexibility and balance over time and with practice. We spend lots of time learning about the body so we can move it safely, building on our strength each time.
I’VE NEVER DONE YOGA BEFORE – WHICH CLASS WOULD BE BEST FOR ME?
My classes are designed to be open to all levels, and you can find a description for all of the different styles here. However, if you are unsure get in touch and we can work out what would be best for your needs.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO CLASS?
You should wear comfortable clothing so you are able to move around without feeling restricted. Shorts/leggings/jogging trousers and a t-shirt should do the job.
WHEN SHOULD I GET THERE?
Please try to arrive 10 min before your class to give you enough time to ask any questions and to have a few minutes to relax in the room before the class starts. This is a great way to leave your busy day behind and calm the mind down before class.
CAN I COME TO CLASS IF I HAVE AN INJURY/BAD BACK?
Yoga can help with many of life’s ailments as it is a gentler form of exercise. However, please get in touch and let me know of any injuries or concerns so we can discuss this in advance.
CAN I COME TO CLASS IF I AM PREGNANT?
Firstly congratulations! Please get in touch with me to discuss your individual situation.
DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN MAT?
Yes, please bring your own mat to class. If you do not own a yoga mat, let me know and we can arrange something for your first class. Please also bring something to fill up your water.
WHAT IS THE PRICE OF A CLASS?
Check out the Book a Class page for the current pricing.
CAN MEN COME TO YOGA CLASSES?
YES! Yoga is for everyone. We have quite a few men in class already and I would love to see more people in class, men or women!
